1 package lettuce
1lb hamburger meat
1 can of corn
1 can of black or kidney beans
Chopped red and green bell peppers
7-14g of tortilla chips
Pico de gallo
Avocado
Brown hamburger meat and season to taste. My go-to combination is salt, pepper, garlic, cumin, oregano, onion powder and chili powder.
Heat beans in a small pan on the stove (or in the microwave!). Corn too if you’d like, but I prefer mine cold.
Allow meat to cool (if you want…personally I don’t cool mine).
Place salad in a bowl. Layer with meat, beans, corn, bell peppers. Top with pico de gallo, avocado, and crushed tortilla chips.
*A few family members prefer a thousand island type mixture of 1/2c mayo, ¼c ketchup, 2 spoonfuls of dill relish, 1 tsp of sugar, 1-2 tsp of vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic to taste.
